Alastair studied drawing and painting at Edinburgh College of Art working with mixed-media, including printmaking. After a postgraduate diploma he became heavily involved in printmaking. Since 1992 he has worked at Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop, initially as the Lithography Technician and now as Assistant Director. Within this busy studio, his position often involves working collaboratively with other artists, initiating projects and assisting each artist in the generation of their image, and editioning their work as part of the Edinburgh Printmakers print publishing programme. In 1995 he attended the Tamarind Institute of Lithography, Summer Workshop, New Mexico. Having taght part time at Edinburgh College of Art for seven years, Alastair continues to teach at Edinburgh Printmakers, running courses in Stone and Plate Lithography and Digital Printmaking. Most recent colaborations include a set of lithographs produced with Alison Watt for her current exhibition Dark Light showing at the Ingleby Gallery, Edinburgh. Alastair exhibits widely in group exhibitions and is a professional member of The Society of Scottish Artists. Alastair Clark SSA al.ruth@virgin.net
